I want to deliver my lipid to cells. What is the best solvent to dissolve the lipid?

The solvents most used for delivery of lipids to biological systems are ethanol and dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO). Avanti does not use DMSO for any process therefore we do not have solubility data for our lipids using this solvent. Most of the lipids produced by Avanti are readily soluble in ethanol or mixtures of ethanol/water (up to 1:1, v/v). Some lipids may require heat and sonication to dissolve in ethanol/water.
