Importantly, direct binding studies show the affinities of the fluorescent analogues are in the same range as the respective unlabeled ligands. Fluorescent endocannabinoid probes are useful for mapping the impact of various treatments, inhibitors, etc on endocannabinoid uptake and distribution in living cells.
