Plant Lipids

A variety of lipids are found naturally in plants. These lipids include derivatives of fatty acids such as triacylglycerides and glycerophospholipids, sterols, carotenoids, terpenes, and waxes. These lipids are primarily used as energy storage (triacylglycerols) or as components of plant membranes (phosphoglycerides). Avanti currently offers a variety of plant sterols, plant glycolipids, and plant betaine lipids.
