Division Spotlight: Customer Service

Jennifer Mayo, Customer Service Manager, took time to chat with us and provide insight into the friendly representatives that interact with our customers in Avanti's Customer Service Department! Keep reading to learn more!
What does the average day look like for a customer service representative? Or is there even an “average”?
On an average day customer service will process new orders, prepare all orders to ship, invoice, email tracking information, provide quotations, and assist customers with other inquires via phone or email. We assist GMP, Formulations, and Custom Synthesis departments with any quotations, order processing, and Sales Pad. This is just a broad overview of CS responsibilities.
What are some of the most common questions that you receive in the customer service department?
The majority of customer calls are asking about order status; with the most common question being “when will my order ship?“. We also receive calls requesting pricing, availability, and assistance with placing orders.
How has the customer service team been able to work with the broader Croda team so far?
Customer service is currently working with the Croda team when it concerns several cGMP projects. Amy Nelson works directly with Angelina Penistone and Jasmine Barcock at Croda to monitor the orders and shipments to ensure that contract requirements are met.
